The community’s recreation needs are met by two facilities:  Parkland Community Centre, known as Park 96; and Parkland Community Hall.

Parkland is a family-orientated neighbourhood and buyers with school-aged children will delight in the fact that this community has its own centrally located schools. The two schools in Parkland are Prince of Wales Elementary School and St. Philip Fine Arts School. Prince of Wales Elementary strives to meet the needs of every unique learner, and the grounds include:

    • 3 Playgrounds
    • Soccer fields
    • Baseball fields
    • Basketball courts

St. Philip Fine Arts School is the local Catholic school. It was first established in 1976, and today, it is well known for the strength of its fine arts program, and is one of the most respected elementary schools in Alberta.
